Two detectives investigate a secret military experiment. Five prisoners have been kept awake for thirty days in a sealed chamber. The premise of The Sleep Experiment places a closed room at the centre of a story about what can happen beyond public view.
The stills alternate between the group in confinement and the investigation outside it. A room full of bodies gives way to a single face; an interview table offers a different kind of enclosure. The contrast can be read in the images before the story is explained.
Written, directed and edited by John Farrelly, the film features Tom Kerrisk, Brian Moore, Anthony Murphy, Rob James Capel, Sam McGovern, Barry John Kinsella, Will Murphy, Steven Jess and Gwynne McElveen.
