The Pigeon International Film Festival recognised An Taibhse with its Special Language Preservation Award in the honorary category in 2024.
The festival’s film record lists a screening at Ísafjarðarbíó on 10 October. It credits John Farrelly as director and names Tom Kerrisk, Livvy Hill, Anthony Murphy and Tom Stafford in the cast.
The recognition sits alongside the film’s use of Irish to tell the story of Éamon and Máire. Their arrival at a remote mansion begins a horror story rooted in the aftermath of the famine.
