An Taibhse had its world premiere at Galway Film Fleadh on 11 July 2024. The festival programme scheduled the film at Pálás Screen 1, followed by a discussion.
The international premiere followed at FrightFest in London on 23 August. The film appeared in the festival’s main-screen programme, introducing its Irish-language horror story to another festival audience.
The two programme records trace the opening chapter of the film’s festival history. Written and directed by John Farrelly, An Taibhse stars Tom Kerrisk and Livvy Hill as a father and daughter entrusted with an isolated mansion through the winter.
